I live in the area but I haven't stopped in this new place. It used to be a place I frequent it named More Steak than Philly. that was an american-style place that had cheese steaks, burgers, wings, fries and things of that such. This new restaurant is Mexican. They are situated right down the road from Taco Bell and not far from Qdoba, Moe's and Chipotle. I decided to take the chain restaurants out of the loop and go for some authentic Mexican. I was not disappointed. I ordered a burrito to go. 5 minutes later I was at home enjoying it. most definitely you can taste the difference between this and a chain restaurant. The ingredients are much fresher. The taste rings truer to your tongue. My friend also ordered something. He told me it was very good and he will definitely be going back again. I mirror his opinion
Tasty fresh Mexican food. Try the green enchiladas, pineapple shake with milk and sopes or tostadas.
This place is very small but the food is so awesome and the prices are very cheap. I will be going back
Food was fresh and delicious. Complimentary chips were served with terrific avocado sauce. We had the chicken fajitas which were served sizzling with freshly made tortillas. Chicken enchiladas with salsa verde was delish. Server was attentive and very helpful in helping to make food choices
Finally got to check this place out! I ordered Togo for a bunch of people and picked it up. The place is decorated cute and festive. I had to wait a little while for someone to help me. It seemed like the people who work the register help with the food in the back. They got our order completely right and the food was really good.
I tried the chips and guac, which I love, and the guac was great! Really creamy. I got chicken fajitas. It came with two corn tortillas, side of sour cream, pico de Gallo, rice and beans. Everything was seasoned simply but tasty. The chicken was in stripes with peppers and onions.
Others in my group got the verde chicken enchiladas. It came with 3 in corn tortillas (which is great for gluten free!). The chicken quesadilla and chicken tacos also got good reviews. The tacos are small and come individually. So you can get a bunch and mix them up! This chicken was shredded.
I'd like to go back soon to try out other items!
Stopped here just to say Hi but wound up staying for lunch! It was so good and very inexpensive, I mean this place topped most of the restaurants in Rockville by a mile or 2 Lol... yeah it's a small spot but very comfortable and staff are so pleasant! They really should open a bigger location. The BEST Mexican Restaraunt in LI hands down! Try it out you will not regret it at all or just order to go! Whatever you decide just give it a try!
Decided to try it based on the reviews. My son LOVES tacos, no like really loves them, but I prefer authentic tacos, not Taco Bell. I went ahead and order the carnitas tacos, something else on the menu that had chicken in it and chicken fajitas. YUM YUM YUM. Food was very flavorful and quite filling. It was so good, I wanted to go back today, but I figured I didn't want to grow tired of the food too soon.... so I will go back this weekend . Try it you won't regret it. Also, I think the prices are really great!
We were eagerly waiting for this place to open. Every time we drive by we looked for any indication of the opening date.
We finally got around to ordering from them. My wife got the Quesadillas and I got The half Rotisserie chicken combo. I ordered the Combo#2 which came with a salad and fries but they gave me the Combo#1 which comes with Rice and Beans. Nothing spectacular about the rice and beans.
The inside of the chicken was dry but the outside was full of flavor. My wife loved the Quesadillas which she said were delicious.
They are reasonably priced and their service is excellent. They're a new place and I want to give them another chance because they seem like they are trying hard. we definitely will be ordering from them again. If not for anything else, they were quick with the order(20 minutes from when we called) and the service was great !!
Just had the tacos from this place one word amazing! It's unbelievable, how Taco Bell has so much business and small businesses with real fresh ingredients like Casa Ofelia's doesn't. If you want fresh and authentic tacos, this is the place to go.
This place is just what Baldwin needed. I love the Mexican theme decorations. The tacos taste like fresh corn. I will definitely be returning.
I was craving for some good Mexican food and luckily I drove past this small, cute and colorful Mexican restaurant. It definitely caught my attention. I only ordered the Enchiladas Suizas. To be honest, I've never had it before so I wasn't sure what to expect or what to compare it to. I was pleasantly surprised at the freshness of the tortilla and the bold yet zesty flavor of the green sauce. I wasn't too crazy about the beans and rice.. I might have gotten the rice at the bottom of the pot since it was a bit stiff. Overall, I will definitely be returning to try some of the other menus which looked interesting such as their Mexican breakfast. Lovely place and service, thumbs up!
Food was fantastic and fresh, really great low prices too! Extremely hospitable and the decor is just as authentic as the cuisine :) will be coming back again soon!!
Great tacos. Definitely cheapest taco place in the area for actually pretty good food. Love it, will definitely go back.
If you're looking for authentic Mexican this place has you covered. Passed by on a whim and I was not disappointed. The service was great and the decor was bright and cheerful. I will def be ordering from these guys again!
Hands down best tacos I've ever had! I had a carnitas, al pastor, and chorizo taco (all at a super cheap and affordable price of $2 per), and they were nothing but fantastic! (The carnitas was my favorite.) My only complaint would be that the chips were a little stale, but that was quickly overshadowed by the tacos. I'll definitely return here for a cheap and delicious meal.
Delicious and fresh. Tacos and enchiladas, rice and beans all great. Counter service but nice decor if you choose to dine in.
As good Mexican gets. Two dollar tacos are great. Everything else is delicious . Been there ten times. Winner winner Mexican dinner
Cant give a full 5 star because i never sat there and ate or tried the majority of their menu but i must say their tacos are outstanding. I love the bistec tacos and the al pastor tacos. They are the perfect size and only cost $2 each. Beat place to get tacos in the area.
What a cute little place. This is actually my second time here. I came to try out the tacos Al pastor which happened to be my favorite due to the additional spices and pineapple it's cooked with. Although we ate in, I'm sure most of their business is take out since they only have a few tables and no restrooms for the public. Food is fresh , and I will definitely be coming back. Maybe next time the owner could put the heat on as the poor employee was freezing and so were we when we arrived.
Tried it a while ago and thought, ok, but we decided to give it another try and so glad we did. Husband had the Mexican bistec, said very good, i had the green sauce enchiladas and it was delicious. Their beans are amazing! Kids had carnitas and chorizo tacos and they were very good! I called and food was ready when I got there. Nice young man, great customer service. We will be back. Sorry no food pics, we just dug in, food looked amazing!
I tried three tacos and they were each phenomenal. I was greeted with nachos with a delectable salsa. The nachos were fresh and made in house. The tacos came with three different salsas. All very delicious to toss on top. The tacos would hit the spot with or without.
The chicken taco was phenomenal! Seasoned perfectly. I highly recommend if you are going to try this place for a first time to give it a shot! The grilled steak was somewhat dry but overall the experience was pleasant. It's nice to get Mexican food that feels authentic.
Tacos are delicious. I had the carnitas and chicken "a la plancha" tacos. Cute little place to enjoy an AUTHENTIC Mexican meal.
We tried Ofelias tonight for the first time!! What an amazing meal we had! I HIGHLY recommend!!
Went yesterday for lunch. Gorgeously decorated inside, got chips and salsa while we waited. Food was out quickly and the tacos were delicious and everything was so affordable! You get this great avocado sauce with your chips. Tacos came with 3 different types of sauces to pick from. Great food, will be back here again.
Really cute place. Nice server! They easily accommodated us as vegetarians. Will be back!
Superb spot. For the price and quality food you get, you won't find better. HIGHLY recommended.
